Creamy Garlic Butter Fish & Shrimp Skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock), cut into chunks
  • 10–12 shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian herbs
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon juice

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare seafood
    Season fish and shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sear the fish
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    Add fish pieces and cook until lightly golden (about 2–3 minutes per side).
    Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook shrimp
    In the same pan, cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make creamy sauce
    Add butter and garlic to the pan. Sauté until fragrant.
    Pour in broth and cream, then stir well.
  5. Add cheese & seasoning
    Mix in parmesan, herbs, and adjust salt/pepper. Let it simmer until slightly thick.
  6. Combine everything
    Return fish and shrimp to the pan.
    Spoon sauce over and cook for another 3–5 minutes.
  7. Finish
    Garnish with parsley and a little lemon juice if desired.

  • Pasta or mashed potatoes
  • Crusty bread for dipping
